Volunteer opportunities
Preparation:​ Tuesdays 2:30 - 4:00 PM, Wednesdays and Fridays 11:30 - 1:00 PM

Prepare produce bags

Stock items from freezer and cooler into warehouse

Repackage items for distribution
Distribution: Tuesdays 4:00 - 6:00 PM, Wednesdays and Fridays 1:00 - 3:00 PM

Greet clients and record visit information in computer

Load items from warehouse into carts
-
Unload items from cart into client's vehicle
-
Restock shelves as they are emptied

Maintain warehouse: breakdown boxes, sweep, etc.
Truck Delivery: 1st Monday, 1st Tuesday, 3rd Tuesday of each month 9:00 - 10:30 AM

Unload items off pallets into cooler, freezer, and warehouse

Assist with paperwork or computer-based work

Cleaning

Dust and sweep

Special Projects: As Needed

Volunteer Requirements
-
Ages 18 or older.
-
Ability to lift at least 30-pound boxes.
-
Able to follow all safety and food safety instructions.
-
Must wear closed-toe shoes and clothing that covers your shoulders.
Volunteer Guidelines
If you are unable to make your shift, please call Jennifer Walston, Pantry Manager, at 660-341-3955.

Parking: Please park in the parking areas facing Haliburton Street, or in the spaces to the east of the sidewalk to the church.​
​
Sign in & out: Please sign in when you arrive and sign out when you leave. The log is on the desk countertop.
​
Personal items: We encourage you to leave personal items in your car.
​
Bathroom: The bathroom is located inside the Central Church of Christ. The key is in the key box insides the interior door, above the printer.
​
No smoking on the premises.

PAC works with the following allergens: milk, eggs, wheat, soybeans, peanuts, tree nuts, fish, and shellfish. Please advise the staff if you need special accommodation.
